Is switching over optional?

Yes. Switching over is completely up to you. You can always switch back at any time.
Will anything happen if I don’t do it?

Nothing will happen if you don’t switch. You can keep using the current version if you prefer, but we’d love for you to try the new one.
If I try the new version, can I switch back to the current version afterwards?

Absolutely! You can easily switch back anytime—just click the toggle again and return to the current version whenever you like.
How much longer will the current version continue to be supported?

The current version will be supported as long as we’re continuing to improve the new one. No need to worry—we’ll keep you informed about any future updates.
Will I have to pay anything extra to switch over?

It won’t cost you anything. Switching over is included in your MathType license at no extra cost—now and in the future.
Will I lose my previous equations if I switch over?

No, not at all. All of your existing equations will be saved, no matter which version you use.
Why did my editor automatically switch back to the current one while I was editing an expression?

This happens when the new editor encounters something it doesn’t fully support yet. Don’t worry—we’re actively working on expanding its capabilities.
